The Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo as from 2025 has written a new chapter in its history, with a renovation works project orchestrated by French interior architect Jacques Garcia. This embellishment and renovation includes all guest rooms, the creation of exceptional suites, a redesigned gastronomic restaurant, an enhanced bar, a revamped banqueting room, and all kitchens of the hotel including a world-class open kitchen.
In 2004, the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo hotel became a contemporary and distinguished hotel. With its new identity, the hotel kept its soul and maintains a certain level of luxury emphasizing the emotional character yet very modern atmosphere.
The Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo is a place which is complete in itself. It is a source of wonder for your senses, emotions and dreams. The architecture and decoration are classical and timeless with a touch of modernism. Its warm Mediterranean spirit makes it different from other hotels – it is nearer to being an independent house.
The innovative and personalized services are a source of surprise and they charm its guests. It is a fashionable, elegant hotel. It is a place of sparkling life with a life in synergy with the Principality. It is also a refuge, offering relaxation and intimacy, where every guest has enough time to take pleasure from the hotel.
In 1886, the "Monte-Carlo Hotel Company Ltd" built the Hotel Metropole on land which previously belonged to Pope Leon XIII. Soon after, the most demanding international clientele was won over by the unostentatious luxury of this quiet hotel built in the "Belle Époque" style. In the 1980s, Lebanese developer, Nabil Boustany, acquired the property and took on the major operation of restoring the hotel to its former brilliance. With the renovation came a new name, Metropole Palace, and a new level of luxurious hospitality. In 2004, the Metropole Palace sold the hotel to its successor: The Hotel Metropole Monte‐Carlo, which became a modern hotel with strong heritage. Its new image combines its glorious past with a Mediterranean freshness, a decor concept which meets the promise of the services proposed.
Of the 102 rooms, including 46 suites, 45 have been completely renovated. Equipped with all necessary amenities, some suites and junior suites boast spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and a terrace.
All bedrooms are designed to equally suit the needs of leisure and business travellers. The majority of the 102 rooms including 64 suites have undergone complete refurbishment whilst others have been subtly refined with touches that create a fresh new look. The suites and junior suites are fast becoming sought-after retreats for those wanting space, comfort and views – some feature terraces and fabulous Mediterreanean views.
