HISTORY

Just like a happy surprise which is constantly renewed, for over a century Le Negresco has been writing the legend of Nice and the French Riviera on a daily basis. The story began in 1913.
On 8 January, Le Negresco opened its doors. The hotel, designed by Henri Negrescu, immediately drew the attention of the international Jet Set. Artists, politicians and royalty were numerous to have signed the guest book…
High society and chic evenings, the myth was perpetuated with Jeanne Augier who purchased Le Negresco in 1957. She continued the incredible story of the Palace. The painter Dali, Princess Grace of Monaco, the Beatles, Louis Armstrong, Elton John... she personally greeted celebrities and started a collection of valuable artwork and furniture. Today, it is not rare to run into a celebrity enjoying a discreet summer stopover on the terrace at 37 Promenade des Anglais.

ROOMS & SUITES

Fitted-out and personalized with exceptional period or contemporary furniture, each of the 102 rooms and 26 suites has been inspired by distant travels or the most remarkable periods of French art. From the Louis XIII style to modern art, five centuries of history are represented.

GASTRONOMY

"Le Chantecler"

Michelin-starred restaurant, Le Chantecler, revisits the codes of great gastronomy conferring to them lightness and sincerity. They offer a talented tribute to regional products. Table service is also renowned. Discrete, it however knows how to put on a show when flambéeing or carving meat in the restaurant in the tradition of great restaurants. With its sumptuous wordwork dating back to 1751, Le Chantecler offers an 18th-century decor which is both ethereal and sumptuous for exceptional dinners.

"La Rotonde Brasserie"

With its white and gold tones, La Rotonde is THE expression of the French Riviera, in a chic and relaxed version. This great brasserie is a true institution close to the heart of those who live in Nice. Its new trimmings maintain the welcoming ambiance that it is known for with a little note of the So Negresco "Glamour". The beautiful carousel horses add a light and fun touch to the decor.

Le Negresco's Bar

With its authentic walnut woodwork dating back to 1913 and its exceptional 1683 tapestry, the Negresco Bar is a comfy place to enjoy a drink or eat a snack. In the evening, it moves to the rhythm of jazz, pop and soul.
